A particularly romantic cinema will open this year on the midsummer plateau. It is Haramura’s “Starry Sky Film Festival”.
“Starry Sky Film Festival” is a film festival held every summer at Haramura and Yatsugatake Natural Culture Park. A screen will be set up on the outdoor stage, and the movie will be shown under the darkness and starry sky at night. At 1,300m above sea level, this is a film festival held at the highest altitude in Japan.
This year, the movie will be screened daily from July 26 to August 18, with the closing days of August 2 and 3 interposed. This time, a total of nine films, including new ones released this year, including Bohemian Rhapsody, Detective Pikachu, Jumping Saitama, and Green Book, will be screened one by one every night.
Watching a movie under the starry sky, which is different from watching it in a movie theater, is popular every year, and not only locals but also fans coming from far away. Please come to this summer play, a special screen that appears only on a midsummer night!
