The "County fair" is a harvest festival like those widely held in the USA. The origin of the Paul Rusch Festival goes back to Dr. Paul Rusch who, dedicating his life to reconstruct and democratize post-war Japan, organized the first festival to encourage the local people of Kiyosato.
These days, the two days festival is kept on the spacious meadows of Seisen-Ryo, in remembrance of Dr. Rusch and to celebrate the season's harvest, while deepening ties with international relations, the local people and those who love Yatsugatake.
