Hyodoribana – thoroughworts (Eupatorium makinoi )

Often found forming large meandering clumps in mountain meadows, this eupatorium is covered in frothy white flowers which become a magnet for bees and butterflies. Not particularly choosy where it grows, plants can be found in sunny meadows or open woodlands. As autumn approaches, the leaves turn beautiful shades of red.
